LAKE DISTRICT GARDENS 2015

Happy New Year! We hope you had a good Christmas break and enjoyed the very mild weather.

We had a great year last year and worked on some fantastic lakeland gardens including garden design and landscaping. We designed and constructed a beautiful local slate patio over looking lake windermere and enhanced a lovely lakeland property near Far Sawry by creating bespoke cleft oak trellis work and creating sweeping garden beds.

We further developed existing clients gardens near Ambleside, Levens and Broughton in Furness. We built handcrafted local stone walls and created garden terraces with beautiful planting schemes creating year round interest.

We are looking forward to creating more beautiful cumbrian gardens in 2015. We have completed the garden design for lake district properties in New Hutton, Windermere and Cartmell Fell including a natural swimming pond and natural gardens set in rural countryside.

It is rare that you have work done on your home or garden that exceeds your expectation. This was just the case when I employed Chris Rabone and his team to landscape our garden. Initially I just thought I would like ideas to help turn our wild and overgrown patch of land into a garden but I was so pleased with the designs that I went ahead with the work. Once the team were on site they worked tirelessly, always punctual, friendly and Chris actively managed any issues arising on the project. The cleft oak trellis and seating work that they built is wonderfully sculptural, built with true craftsmanship and gives the garden a truly unique feature. Kirstyn listened closely to the type of planting scheme I was looking for and designed a border with all year round interest with plants that suited the local conditions and in the my pallet of colours. I had never previously thought of employing landscape gardeners but I am so pleased I did as their work has transformed our garden and has given us ideas on how to continue to develop it in the years to come.
