Cumbrian Gardens Update Summer 2013 at Chris Rabone Landscapes

It has been a busy summer at Chris Rabone Landscapes in Cumbria, working on some exclusive garden design and landscaping projects including a beautiful country estate on Windermere lakeside near Ambleside, Arthur Ransomes former residence nestled in the hillside over looking Rusland Valley near Ulverston and a designer garden for a sandstone house in Gamblesby near Penrith. A naturalistic style garden with wildlife ponds and wildflower meadows near Broughton in Furness, town gardens in Windermere and a master planning scheme for Drigg Community have also kept us busy this year.

The landscaping work has involved stone walling with local stone, paving in yorkstone and slate, pond and stream building, wildflower meadows, lawns, garden terraces, patios and planting. A range of planting schemes and styles have been designed to accommodate the clients preferences and environmental conditions. The gardens are all looking fantastic as the landscape construction work is coming to an end and the late season planting is at it’s best with the autumn colours starting to show.

Projects in the pipeline include a country house overlooking the Levens Valley and a coastal house and garden with fantastic vistas over the Duddon Valley. In the next few weeks we will be giving you updates and more details and images of these schemes and others that we have been working on this summer.
